A couple of weeks ago, while on vacation, I had the pleasure of attending the San Francisco Symphony performance of Psycho with live score! I always enjoy seeing orchestras in other cities perform, and I also enjoy the movie-at-the-concert-hall format, so it made for a great evening out. And, it was great to see scalpers on the sidewalk hawking symphony tickets before the show; not that scalpers are desirable, but whenever symphony tickets are in demand enough to warrant the "secondary market", it warms my heart a little.
I'm looking forward to the return of our silent movie concert next March - this year, it's Charlie Chaplin's Gold Rush. It features the famous bread roll dance (which Grampa Simpson tried to use in impressing Marge's mother):
