It's that time again - civic election season!
It seems as if only one or two issues might dominate this year's discussions leading up to October 18, but it is important to remind our future leaders that the arts plays a significant role in Edmonton; we are known as the "Festival City" after all, so it's an issue that should be front and centre.
So what can you do? The Professional Arts Coalition of Edmonton (PACE) has some
ideas and resources for letting candidates know about this important issue, and finding out about a candidate's Arts Platform (if they have one). I recommend following the link above, but in brief: bring it up! Whether it's in person on your doorstep or online or at forums, make sure candidates know it is a priority!
And even more briefly: vote.
