Are you a teacher or budding musician? Do you know a student who is looking to gain that all-important experience of performing before live audiences? If so, the ESO is looking for you!
We now offer two unique ways for you to perform for live audiences. We encourage all interested musicians to apply for both!
Musicians in the Making at the Winspear Centre
Presented by TELUS, this program features promising student soloists and ensembles performing half-hour showcases prior to selected ESO performances in the lobbies of the Winspear Centre. All participants are then invited to be our guest at a concert, courtesy of our friends at TELUS.

Musicians in the Making at the Edmonton International Airport
For the first time ever, the ESO and the EIA have teamed up to give budding artists the opportunity to perform at the International Airport for guests entering and exiting Edmonton. With an estimated 10 million people walking through the airport’s doors this year, musicians can showcase their talent for a wide variety of audiences and leave a tremendous first impression.
Musicians have a three-hour time slot in which they can perform and sell CDs. For example, many musicians choose to perform for 30 minutes, break for 15 minutes to sell CDs, and then repeat the process.
The dates/times of performances are open and flexible to your availability; however, many musicians find 3 - 6 pm and 6 - 9 pm ideal time slots. You’re welcome to perform multiple days. Upon applying, you will receive more information.
