Young Composers Project 2011-2012 Student Application Information

Thank you for your interest in the Young Composers Project! To apply, please submit a complete application package that includes the following (applications must include all of the following to be accepted):
1. One online completed application form (see below)
2. An online reference letter from your music teacher or an established musician familiar with your work. (Click here for online form)
3. Up to three scores with audio-format CD or DAT recordings of music you’ve composed or arrangements you’ve made of other composers’ music. We will only consider recordings accompanied with written scores. These works do not have to be for orchestra, or in a classical style. We are simply looking to see your experience in composing.
 
Submission Requirements:
  • You can submit up to three scores and three recordings only. We will only consider recordings accompanied with written scores.
  • Do not send any original copies. Only submit photocopies of your music and duplicates of your recordings.
  • Include all recordings on a single CD or DAT with tracks clearly labelled
Application Deadline: December 2, 2011

Applicants may be contacted by the jury or called for an in-person interview. A decision will be made no later than January 31, 2012.
