-5 # Brian Swanson 2012-11-21 12:44 I think you don't play enough Beethoven. You(the ESO) should be playing a Beethoven Symphony at least once a year and a Piano Concerto. Beethoven wrote 9 Symphonies, and 5 Piano concerto's. and three Overtures. You need to have more Beethoven played in the Winspear. The same with W.A. Mozart. 42 Symphonies 27 Piano Concerto's . You could be playing Mozart at every performance.
And in closing, the ESO needs to expand it's orchestra. I listened to the Egmont Overture(Beetho ven) played by the N.Y. Philharmonic.
12 first Violins 12 seconds and 12 violas. And I'm guessing 8 cello players. You've got a big stage…fill it up!
