Valentine’s performances will make your heart sing
Love Will Keep Us Together
Love is in the air this month and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra invites you to be their symphonic valentine as they serenade you with songs of romance. Steven Reineke, one of the great Pops conductors of our time, is back with a show full of romantic classics and love themes at the Francis Winspear Centre for Music. Thrilling audiences in concert halls and Broadway theatres for years, Soprano Betsy Wolfe and Tenor Mike Eldred take centre stage to sing melodies that will warm your heart.
The ESO gets you into the romantic mood with timeless love songs including Unchained Melody, My Heart Will Go On, and I Will Always Love You. Steven Reineke takes his enthusiasm and artistry to the keyboard, conducting and performing with the orchestra in Love Theme from Cinema Paradiso, and Sarah from The Civil War. Mike Eldred, one of North America’s most in-demand tenors, and Betsy Wolfe, critically acclaimed for her performances on Broadway, take solo turns or sing together selections from Footloose, Dirty Dancing, Moulin Rouge, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Following Friday's concert, treat your valentine to a complimentary beverage at Hundred Bar & Grill simply by showing your ESO concert ticket (courtesy of the Century Hospitality Group).
Ticket prices range from $24 - $81 (agency fees apply). Call the Winspear Centre Box Office at (780) 428-1414, toll-free 1-800-563-5081, or purchase online
