  • Extraordinary feats of artistry return to the Winspear Centre, bringing a magically musical experience to our annual Gala. Showcasing many of the finest Cirque artists in the world, this extravaganza synchronizes the imaginative athleticism of aerial flyers, acrobats, contortionists, and strongmen, with the brilliance of the ESO performing beloved classical masterpieces. Be amazed, be awed, be stunned! Don’t miss this incredibly unique synergy of orchestral music, featuring the mighty sounds of the Davis Concert Organ, and the spectacle of Cirque.

    In 1971, Procol Harum joined forces with the ESO for a unique ‘rock meets the classics’ concert. At the time, few could have predicted that it would yield one of the band’s best-selling albums. Now nearly 40 years later, the British rock band returns to Edmonton to reunite with the orchestra and Da Camera Singers one last time.

They return to the Winspear stage to share music from their best-selling holiday album, The Perfect Gift.

  • The ESO plays Zappa
  • Whether considered a satirical rocker, a guitar virtuoso, or an orchestral innovator, Frank Zappa was one of the most influential and original composers of his generation. The ESO pays homage to a composer that was one of the first to break down barriers between rock, jazz, and classical music, in this concert featuring music from Yellow Shark, and Over-nite Sensation.

  • In their Silver Anniversary year, The Peking Acrobats® are masters of agility and grace. Accompanied by the orchestra, these Chinese Acrobats will defy gravity with amazing displays of contortion, flexibility, and control. Pushing the envelope of human possibility with astonishing juggling dexterity and incredible balancing feats, the performers will bring all of the excitement and festive pageantry of a Chinese Carnival right to the Winspear Centre stage.
